5 LB Rye Chops

Rye Chops are an indispensable ingredient in classic Danish rye bread, which I have been baking at home for many years. My Danish wife ranks my rye bread as comparable to the rye bread of her youth in Denmark and to the rye bread still baked there. This is due not just to the rye chops but also to the fantastic rye meal pumpernickel flour that I also get from Bakers Authority and can recommend without any reservations. This flour also complements all purpose flour to make an astoundingly delicious country loaf that keeps very well and makes a chewy foundation for sandwiches when lightly toasted — and also for breakfast with a good cheese or butter and fruit preserves. A small amount of the rye chops also works in this country loaf. Bakers Authority is doing a great service in making available such high quality products and keeping them in stock.
