Ingredients

½ cup margarine, softened

¾ cup sugar

1 egg

2 tsp grated lemon rind

1 ½ cups flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

½ cup ground walnuts

Confectioners' sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Beat the first six ingredients together in a large mixer bowl until blended.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and walnuts. Add to mixer bowl and beat well.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Cookies will only brown on the bottom.
Remove cookies from cookie sheet immediately and roll in confectioners' sugar while still warm.
