Ingredients
Directions
Make the Horns
Break Almond paste into almond-sized chunks into a bowl or stand mixer.
Add the sugar and 3 tbsp of the egg whites.
Mix on medium-low speed until a sticky dough is formed.
Add the almond flour and mix until it is fully mixed into the dough.
Pour the sliced almonds into a shallow dish or a plate.
Roll the dough into balls.
Roll the dough in the almonds into a log.
Place the log (shaped like a U) onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
Pre heat oven to 375 degrees
Brush the cookies with the egg whites
Bake for 15 to 18 min or until the bottoms are golden brown.
Let the horns cool.
Make the Glaze
Combine the cream, butter, and corn syrup in a small saucepan
Stir over a medium-low fire until melted and smooth
remove from the fire and add the chocolate (the residual heat should be enough to melt the chocolate)
Glaze the Horns
Quickly dip the cooled horns ends into the glaze and return them to the baking shit.
Let the horns sit until the glaze sets.
